So, apparently this beautiful wedding never got published! It's been sitting in my drafts folder forever! Can I blame pregnancy brain? Ok good.

I had been looking forward to Alyssa & Doug's wedding ever since they first contacted me. Even though I didn't get to meet them until the wedding day, I felt like we were already best friends. (I just hope they felt the same way haha) They are the type of people who make everyone feel welcome & loved.

Alyssa & Doug chose Balmorhea Weddings & Events for their wedding, & I loved it because it was only a 10 minute drive from my parents' house! (Yes, I still had to come from Austin, but that's beside the point.) They timed their ceremony with the sunset & it was completely magical. A family friend provided the most beautiful & huge bouquets ever, & the bridal party was stunning in blushes & grays. The little humans were precious in their fluffy tulle dresses, & you can bet some twirling-dress contests took place on the dance floor. If I gave out awards to my weddings, Alyssa & Doug's wedding would win Best Music. The Homestead (which the bride is a part of) provided gorgeous ceremony music, while The Undercover Band ensured that the dance floor was never empty.

I have so many favorite moments from throughout the day, including Alyssa & Doug's blindfolded first look, the special relationship they have with their families (specifically their nieces & nephew), & the happy dance the pastor did at the start of the ceremony. (He apparently "called it" well before Alyssa & Doug even began dating.) Have I mentioned that there was milk & cookies served at the reception? Yes, please.
