If you’re newly engaged, you may be asking Why take engagement photos? Is it just an excuse to get dressed up & go on a fun date night afterwards? I have a couple reasons for you!

Ideally you’re doing your engagement photos with the photographer hired for your wedding, & this is your chance to really get to know him or her. You get to know their posing direction & personality. At the same time, your photographer is getting to know you!

This way, on a busy & maybe stressful wedding day, the three of us can crank out so many more photos of the two of you in a short amount of time because you already have a rhythm figured out.

I loved getting to know Lisha & Steven, & I know their wedding is going to be one for the books. Why? Because in her first email to me, Lisha told me she plans on using cinnamon as part of their wedding. This was the first time a bride has talked about incorporating a smell! Love that!

Engagement photos at Mckinney Falls State Park is always a fun afternoon, & we took advantage of the early rising moon to get some really beautiful photos.
