ashley&jordan {rustic chic post-wedding shoot} lavender & lace
Ashley & Jordan are two of my closest friends. When they started dating, I was thrilled. When Jordan told me he was proposing, I tried to conceal my excitement. And, then. Then I got sick. Six hours before Ashley walked down the aisle, I had to call her & tell her I wasn't coming. After we worked out the back-up plan, I hung up & cried. I cannot tell you how hard I cried, only that my poor husband couldn't do anything but sit there with his arm around me until I fell asleep. All I can say now is that I am so thankful that we were able to find a replacement so close to the wedding.
Since Ashley had already decided to do her bridal photos after the wedding anyway, I suggested we re-stage as much of their wedding as possible, which is exactly what we did. Y'all, we had so much fun. We started the day with kolaches, coffee, & mani/pedis. Then we got rings cleaned, picked up flowers & the cake. It really felt like a wedding day! I'd have to say the worst part was the mosquitos. If you look closely, you can see them swarming us. While I so hate that I had to miss their wedding day, I'm so glad I was still able to photograph such a beautiful couple in their wedding clothes.
Jordan made the ring box with the help of his dad. Check out the adorable video he made last year when he was proposing.
