Tell me about your wedding:
1. What was your most memorable moment?
The most memorable moment of our wedding day was the ceremony & our first dance. It almost seemed as if time stood still for that moment & we were the only ones standing before God. I want to relive those moments over & over!
2. What were the inspirations for your wedding? themes? Why did you pick this time of year?
We were inspired by things that have impacted us in our lives. The most significant decorations were our families wedding photos & the stone we had engraved with our names & wedding date to always be a reminder of our vows & our love for each other. We picked June because it worked with all of our family.
3. Was there anything that was not worth fussing over? In other words, did you have a bridezilla/groomzilla moment over something that was insignificant?
We really didn't have those moments.
4. Any advice for those planning now?
If it's going to be hot outside, plan to have your ceremony & reception inside. We had our ceremony outside & it was pretty hot. Thankfully we cooled off during the reception.
Tell me about married life!
1. What has been the easiest & hardest parts about adjusting to married life?
Caleb: Sharing all that we have & being together all the time is the best part of marriage. The hardest had been to manage the bills & learning how to save differently now.
Sarah: I agree with Caleb, it has been so awesome to putting out lives together as one. The hardest thing is learning how Caleb does certain things like his cleaning & making sure I have food prepared for the both of us that he likes too.
2. What's been the most surprising thing you've learned about each other?
Caleb: Knowing how much of a servant's heart Sarah has, & how she is just as excited to see me when I get home from work as she was when we saw each other during our dating & engagement relationship.
Sarah: The most surprising thing I've learned about Caleb is how he managed being under so much pressure from his master's work. He persevered through it very well. His servant's heart in helping me with housework is awesome! I never would have imagined that he would be willing to do those things. He often wakes up with me & makes my coffee & breakfast which I LOVE! That is so much fun to have breakfast together almost every morning before we go to work. It's those unexpected joys that you discover after marriage that are so awesome! Also, I'm surprised that he is way better at grocery shopping & making eggs over easy than me!
3. What do you guys do to spend time together?
Sarah: We just make our date nights usually every Friday night. That means we go explore town, grab dinner, see a movie or just watch movies at the apartment. Sometimes I leave that night to make a new meal together, or we'll practice our music together. We both sing & I play piano & guitar.
4. What did you do, or will you do, to celebrate your one year anniversary?
We are going to Steamboat, CO, while we're in Colorado that week visiting family. We'll be renting a private master suite from Air B&B, with awesome views of the mountains from our porch & close to lots of things to do. We're especially excited about go to the hot springs where we'll do some swimming :)
5. Any plans for the future? Or, rather, what would you like to have done/seen/experience in the next five years?
We hope to go to Europe in 2018 to see Caleb's favorite all time bands tour for the last time. We're hoping to see them in Sweden or Germany & then make a vacation out of it. :) We also hope to see a couple of other bands we've been waiting to see. We hope to be out of our apartment & buy our first home next spring!
