scarlett&jacob {wedding} ashelynn manor, magnolia, texas
When Scarlett first reached out to me, she mentioned Gone with the Wind. Needless to say, it didn't take me long to get excited about her & Jacob's wedding. They chose Ashelynn Manor as their backdrop because of its big white plantation style home complete with columns. A horse & buggy waited to take them from the chapel to the reception (& around the grounds a few times, because why not?) Have you noticed that the bride's name was Scarlett? Not a coincidence. The coincidence was that I happen to be reading Gone with the Wind & had a copy of it in my car.
Scarlett & Jacob wanted to do a a private foot washing before the ceremony, which was a very sweet moment.
All of the bouquets were WOODEN flowers! How cool is that?
I think this was when I scolded Scarlett for complaining about how hot it was. It was 85 degrees that day. It very well could have been over 100. She wasn't allowed to complain in my book. haha
I got so excited when I walked in the reception & saw both mothers' wedding dresses on display! I had heard of people doing this, but had never seen it. I wanted to do this for my wedding, but it didn't work out. I loved how similar the two dresses were, clearly both moms picked a trendy style!
