woodbine mansion {wedding venue} round rock, texas

Woodbine Mansion popped up on the wedding scene last summer & I’ve been dying to see it in person ever since. It’s white exterior, black shutters, & columns remind me of my home, New Orleans, & it did not disappoint. Bonus points: It’s only 15 minutes from my house.

Built in the 1800s, it’s been owned by only three families. The newest owners acquired it in 2018 & opened it in June of last summer for weddings. Click here for its full history & gorgeous old photos!

While I was disappointed in the gloominess of the weather, the bright white interior chased those blues away. This clean & classic palette is the perfect backdrop for any wedding style, just please invite me to photograph it! ;)

When you enter the massive black doors, you are greeted by a gorgeous curved staircase & the ladies’ parlor complete with a perfectly pink ceiling. The downstair rooms include a ballroom that can seat about 80 people & several other smaller rooms for your cake, the bar, & general seating & mingling. Pay attention when you visit to the beautiful stained glass above several entry ways & windows.

Though not original to this home, all of the furniture was all purchased from antique shops to ensure authenticity. The mirrors & chandeliers on the other hand are original. So ornate!

Going up the back staircase, the groom’s quarters pop like a cork on a champagne bottle. Bold & beautiful, it stands out amongst the white in such a stunning way. Most groom’s rooms I see are so dark & brown that they’re almost not fun to photograph. This room, however, I could stay here all day. The tile on the fireplace is original & so unique in color & pattern.

Also upstairs, the bride’s quarters are spacious, light, & airy, just the way I like it. The ladies have two very large rooms to spread out in, perfect for busy mornings with lots of suitcases, dresses in wardrobe bags, & all of your besties. Don’t miss the dress form to hang your dress on to air out!

The library is off of the bride’s quarters & provides extra space in case you need it. It’s the perfect shade of emerald & I wanted to curl up in one of the chairs & read the day away.

Because my own master bathroom is currently being renovated, every single bathroom captured my attention. I truly do not know which one was my favorite! One feature in the groom & bride’s bathrooms upstairs had that I had never seen before was lockers for your bridal party to safely stow away personal items during a wedding. They blended in so well with the house that I almost didn’t notice them!

Another favorite space was a new building detached from the main house. I don’t know if it has an official name, but it offers extra bathrooms, is handicap accessible, & has a changing table for littles. I’m told it’s proven to be a great place for flower girls, ring bears, & their families to hang out & that a tv & bean bag chairs will be added to make it more comfortable & kid-friendly.

The mansion is situated on a large enough lot that you have plenty of freedom & options to plan a unique wedding. Being winter, the greenery was a little sparse & the roses were covered, but I can just imagine what it looks like in the spring!

Yes! Woodbine is available for bridal shoots!

Thank you, Maddie, for giving me a tour & pointing all the details that made my creative heart so happy! I truly cannot wait to work here!
